- Pistacia Vera (Pistachio) Seed Oil – is made from pistachio nuts. Vera (Pistachio) Seed Oil contains phytosterols, which makes it an effective skin regenerator. This ingredient is intended to nourish the skin, stimulate the production of collagen. This oil is also rich in fatty acids, which soothe sensitive skin and reduce the evaporation of water from the surface of the epidermis.
- Calophyllum Inophyllum (Tamanu) Oil – is made from Tamanu nuts. Tamanu Oil has both a strong and soft healing and regenerating properties. It does not have irritating and aggressive components in its natural composition. Tamanu Oil contains all three groups of lipids, which not only penetrate deeply into the skin, but also restore cell membranes. Phospholipids, triacylglycerols and glycolipids are the main «building» material for high-quality skin cells healing and renewal. This oil includes two components that stimulate the formation of healthy and full-fledged epidermal cells – calophyllolide and calophyllic acid. The first stimulates local immunity and is an active anti-inflammatory agent, the second is involved in the process of cell synthesis.
- Salvia Hispanica (Chia) Seed Oil – is made from Mexican salvia seeds, also known as Mexican chia seed. The oil improves the skin’s elasticity. As a result, people who apply cosmetic products that contain chia seed oil to their skin regularly – will look much younger and fresher. The high concentration of alpha-linoleneic acid helps retain a natural shine and gives skin and nails fresh, healthy and vital look. This oil alleviates dermatitis and is perfect for people with dry, sensitive skin, and dull and damaged nails. Furthermore, this oil does not contain any lactose or cholesterol at all.
- Nigella Sativa Oil has rich composition of trace elements such as calcium, magnesium, zinc, selenium and others, and vitamins (vitamins of groups B, P, A, C, E). - Leptospermum Scoparium Oil (Manuka Оil) is produced by steam distilling the leaves of the Manuka tree (Leptospermum Scoparium), which grows uncultivated throughout New Zealand and south-eastern Australia. Manuka Оil is used in skin care as the antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory preparation. This oil prevents skin irritation and infections, including acne-causing bacteria. Manuka oil can be used for any type of skin. Limonene gives this oil an antiviral effect, pineain – enhances antiseptic action. It has also a strong antifungal effect. It can be used specifically against various skin infections, fungal infections, acne, staphylococcal viral diseases, fevers, herpes, abscesses. List of CO2-extracts of plants that we usually use
To save beneficial properties of plants, manufacturer should take into account many factors – the plant extract technique, the quality of the extract and the ability to apply this type of extraction in the production.
Today the most effective technique for obtaining beneficial plant extracts is CO2-extraction. CO2-extracts are obtained due to using liquefied carbon dioxide as an extractant. CO2-extraction makes possible to extract from the plant a large part of currently known biologically active compounds:
- saturated and unsaturated fatty acids
- fat-soluble vitamins,
- waxes
- terpenes and terpenoids,
- phenol-containing compounds,
- pigments,
- alkaloids, as well as phytosterols and phytocoumarins.
CO2-extraction allows the extraction of biologically active substances in the same proportion in which they are found in natural raw materials. CO2-extracts are completely natural.
The CO2-extraction process itself is environmentally friendly, because carbon dioxide is not a toxic substance, and it is almost completely removed from the extract at the last stages of the technological cycle, and such extraction does not require any additional measures.
